Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

Arrival: Land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi. Meet and greet by a representative.

Transfer: Private transfer to your hotel in Nairobi.

Accommodation: Check-in at your hotel.

Activities: Depending on your arrival time, you can explore Nairobi’s local attractions, such as the Giraffe Centre or the Karen Blixen Museum.

Overnight: Nairobi.

Day 2: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Breakfast: Early breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer: Drive to Amboseli National Park (approximately 4-5 hours).

Arrival: Arrive at your lodge/camp in Amboseli and check-in.

Lunch: Enjoy lunch at the lodge/camp.

Afternoon Game Drive: Embark on your first game drive in Amboseli, famous for its elephants and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Dinner & Overnight: Dinner at the lodge/camp. Overnight stay in Amboseli.

Day 3: Full Day in Amboseli

Breakfast: Early morning breakfast.

Morning Game Drive: Discover Amboseli’s wildlife, including elephants, lions, and giraffes, with the majestic Kilimanjaro as a backdrop.

Lunch: Picnic lunch in the park or return to the lodge for lunch.

Day 4: Amboseli to Lake Naivasha

Transfer: Drive to Lake Naivasha (approximately 5-6 hours), passing through the scenic Great Rift Valley.

Arrival: Arrive at your lodge by Lake Naivasha and check-in.

Lunch: Enjoy lunch at the lodge.

Afternoon: Optional boat ride on Lake Naivasha to see hippos and various bird species, or explore Crescent Island for a guided nature walk.

Day 5: Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara National Reserve

Transfer: Drive to Masai Mara National Reserve (approximately 5-6 hours).

Arrival: Arrive at your lodge/camp in Masai Mara and check-in.

Afternoon Game Drive: Begin your safari adventure in Masai Mara with an afternoon game drive.

Day 6: Full Day in Masai Mara

Morning Game Drive: Explore the vast plains of Masai Mara, home to the Big Five and a variety of other wildlife.

Lunch: Picnic lunch in the reserve or return to the lodge for lunch.

Day 7: Masai Mara to Nairobi & Departure

Transfer: Drive or fly back to Nairobi. If flying, you’ll take a short flight from Masai Mara to Nairobi.

Afternoon: Arrive in Nairobi with time for last-minute shopping or an optional visit to the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage.

Departure: Private transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight.

Additional Information & Quick Notes

Best Time to Visit: The best time to visit these regions is during the dry seasons, from June to October and January to February, when wildlife viewing is at its peak.

Weather: Amboseli is typically hot and dry, Lake Naivasha has a moderate climate, and Masai Mara can be cooler, especially in the mornings and evenings.

Health and Safety: Take antimalarial medication and ensure your vaccinations are up to date. Drink only bottled or purified water.

Cultural Sensitivity: Respect local customs, especially when visiting Maasai villages. Always ask for permission before taking photographs of people.

Currency: The Kenyan Shilling (KES) is the local currency. Credit cards are accepted in cities, but cash is needed in remote areas.
